Sami Saydjari, Cyber Defense Agency
Mr. O. Sami Saydjari is the founder and President of Cyber Defense
Agency. Under his leadership and guidance, Mr. Saydjari has attracted
twenty of the nation's top security experts to create a uniquely superb
national asset to help defend the country's most important information
systems. He provides vision and expertise for building a research and
consulting organization that creates effective systematic defenses for
high-value systems against aggressive cyber- attack. Mr. Saydjari has
over 20 years experience performing and directing information assurance
research, including 13 years as a leader at the National Security Agency
and three years as a Defense Advanced Projects Agency (DARPA) Program
Manager of Information Assurance where he created one of the most
significant investments in information assurance in the nation's
history.
Before founding the Cyber Defense Agency, Mr. Saydjari was a Senior
Staff Scientist in SRI International s Computer Science Laboratory,
where he was the program leader of the Cyber Defense Research Center (CDRC).
Prior to SRI, Mr. Saydjari was the Information Assurance Program Manager
for DARPA's Information Systems Office.
Mr. Saydjari is an internationally recognized security expert. He has
been featured in various publications and broadcast including a feature
on PBS Frontline. He is the "On the Horizon" department editor for IEEE
Security and Privacy Journal. He also has the honor of serving on board
of directors for two distinguished professional non-profit boards
advising government leadership on cyber defense policy: Cyber Conflict
Studies Association and Professionals for Cyber Defense.
Mr. Saydjari earned his M.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University.
The Director of NSA named Mr. Saydjari an NSA fellow in 1993 and 1994.
He has published more than a dozen technical papers in the field of
information security and has presented the results of his research at
both such as the National Cryptologic Quarterly, the National Computer
Security Conference, IEEE Security and Privacy Conference, and the ACM
New Security Paradigms Workshop.
Dane
Deutsch
As a United States Air Force Captain (ret), Dane served as Chief of
Maintenance for country the of Turkey. He was responsible for 1200
people under his command, assigned throughout many locations in Turkey;
from Iraq to Istanbul; and from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea.
In addition, Dane led 50 people on his immediate staff at the
headquarters location in Ankara, Turkey. He and his division were
responsible for all electronics-communications equipment including:
navaids, microwave radio systems, long-haul tropo radios, land mobile
radios, television, telephones, computers (mini, micro and mainframe),
and networks. In addition, his responsibilities included management and
administration for one of the main ARPANET connections in Europe.
Since leaving active duty Air Force, Dane formed a corporation called
Deutsch's, Inc. It consists of Deutsch's Gymnastics Training Center and
DCS Netlink, and is headquartered in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Deutsch's
Gymnastics has trained hundreds of children in the sport and discipline
of gymnastics over the years. In addition, Deutsch's gym has produced
athletes at all levels of competition, both State and National.
Over the past 15 years, DCS Netlink has grown from 1 employee to 14 and
from repairing computers to installing and maintaining networks to a
full line of Networking and Internet services including: web design,
e-mail services, e-commerce, wireless internet, and most importantly,
Internet Security services. Dane has personally grown from an A+
Certified Technician to a Microsoft Certified Support Engineer (MCSE).
Most recently, DCS Netlink has focused on Internet Security including
WatchGuard Firewalls, VPNs, and Internet Security training on a national
basis.
As a team, DCS Netlink was nominated and won the Barron County Small
Business Model of the Year for 2002. In 2002, Dane was chosen as a
Wisconsin Small Businessman of the Year. In 2004, DCS Netlink was
recognized at the RSA Security Conference as a Premier WatchGuard
Firewall Value Added Reseller and Trainer in the United States. In
addition, DCS Netlink was chosen as the Synergy 2004 Award winner for
Physical Infrastructure Enhancement in Western Wisconsin. In July of
2004, Dane attended a John C. Maxwell Maximum Impact course designed to
license him as a facilitator to teach the “Developing the Leader within
You” course name after the bestseller book by the same name. Dane is now
a licensed facilitator for John C. Maxwell’s Maximum Impact
organization.
Dane is 50 years old and has a double major in Physical Education and
Health from Bemidji, Minnesota. He also did undergraduate work in
Pre-Med while completing the Air Force ROTC program at University of
Wisconsin in Superior, Wisconsin. He earned his commission as an Air
Force officer in 1982. He is married and has four children. He is the
CEO and President of DCS Netlink in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

Nachreiner, Network Security Analyst, WatchGuard

Corey Nachreiner, Network Security Analyst for WatchGuard's LiveSecurity
Service, has been with WatchGuard since 1999. Corey began his tenure in
WatchGuard's Technical Support organization, where he quickly advanced.
He created a new role in the organization, working between Support and
Engineering to solve critical issues. Later recruited onto the
LiveSecurity team, Corey has since written hundreds of concise security
alerts and easily-understood educational articles for WatchGuard users
and appeared in security training videos, generating hundreds of letters
of praise from thankful customers. A Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP), Corey is often quoted by other online
sources, including C|NET, eWeek, and Slashdot. Before WatchGuard, Corey
attended Western Washington University in pursuit of a Computer Science
degree and Creative Writing minor. During that time he also ran his own
small computer consulting business and explored WWU's network. In his
free time, Corey enjoys "modding" any technical gizmo he can get his
hands on, and considers himself a hacker in the old sense of the word.
Matthew J. Petersen

SA Petersen graduated from Manatee Community College with an Associates
of Arts Degree with a minor in Computer Programming. He then graduated
from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in 1995 with a Bachelor of
Science in Professional Aeronautics. SA Petersen has eight years Active
duty service in the U.S. Army as a Utility Helicopter Pilot in the UH-1
(Huey) Airframe, he was an instructor pilot for four of those years. In
March 1997, Mr. Petersen became a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau
of Investigations. He was assigned to the International Terrorism and
Domestic Terrorism Squad in Milwaukee, and was re-assigned to the
National Infrastructure Computer Intrusion Program (NICIP) in 1998. In
1999, he became a Computer Analysis and Response Team (CART) Field
Examiner. As part of training for CART and NIPCIP, he received training
from the Federal Bureau of Investigations CART in examinations and
seizure of computer electronics from; International Association for
Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS)(May 1999) in Seizure and
Processing of DOS and Windows 95/98 systems, National White Collar Crime
Center's (NWCCC) Basic Data Recovery and Analysis(BDRA)(June 1999) and
Advanced Data Recovery and Analysis (ADRA)(June 2001), Department of
Defense Computer Investigations Incident Response in a Network
Environment (Feb 2002). He has taken classes from the National
Infrastructure Center Program (NICP) in Computer Intrusion, Advanced
Computer Intrusion, Basic and Advanced Linux classes, Sun Microsystems.
He has performed over 1000 examinations in Windows based Operating
Systems as well as completed examinations in over 50 Linux based
operating systems. SA Petersen recently completed the Federal Bureau of
Investigations MacIntosh certification and has completed four exams. SA
Petersen also recently became certified in Personal Data Assistants
(PDA) and Cell Phone Analysis. SA Petersen has testified as an Expert
Witness in Federal and Local Courts. SA Petersen wrote a Instructional
Paper (White Paper) on the analysis of Peer To Peer networks.

As Radware’s Director of Technology
Advancement, Chip is responsible for communicating to clients and
partners the capabilities and advantages offered by the Radware product
suite. Chip is a 20-year veteran of the technology industry and remains
an avid student of technologies that can be used to solve real problems.
From positioning Digital Equipment’s original Ethernet VPN devices to
consulting with managed security providers on behalf of Check Point
Software Technologies, Chip has witnessed not only the increased
complexity of threats but also their changing nature. In addition to
security, Chip has been involved with projects as diverse as overhauling
Canada’s national air traffic control system, accelerating the
transaction speed of the foreign exchange trading system for a global
bank, and upgrading Fidelity Investment’s system management
infrastructure.
Most recently, Chip has assisted a number of companies to securely
integrate a web services sales tax management service with their
e-commerce and ERP applications.

Rick Ensenbach
& Chad Boeckmann (presentation)
Mr. Ensenbach is an information security professional with over 25 years
of experience in the field of information security. Mr. Ensenbach has
worked for a diverse range of organizations. He has been responsible for
creating the information security programs for the Air Force, 934th
Airlift Wing - Air Force Reserve, Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of
Minnesota and Conseco Finance. He has also consulted independently and
for several security consulting companies. He currently works in the
State of Minnesota’s Enterprise Security Office.
Mr. Ensenbach’s background includes information security risk
management, security auditing and regulatory compliance assessments,
policy/procedure development, program development and strategic
planning. He has an extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g.
HIPAA, GLBA, FFIEC) and internationally accepted standards such as NIST,
ISO17799/27001 and COBIT.
Rick holds a number of internationally recognized certifications, to
include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (“CISSP”),
Certified Information Security Manager (“CISM”), Certified Information
Systems Auditor (“CISA”), Information Systems Security Management
Professional (ISSMP). Rick has also successfully passed examinations for
the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Qualified Data Security Professional and

Rick is the former President of the Information Systems Security
Association (ISSA) Minnesota chapter and the Upper Midwest Security
Alliance. He is also a United States Air Force retiree with over 21
years of honorable service.
Chad Boeckmann
Mr. Chad Boeckmann is the President/CEO of Secure Digital Solutions, a
regional information security management company that offers strategic
and tactical security services.
Mr. Boeckmann has a diverse background in the Information Security
industry. With over 10 years of experience, Chad assists organizations
in government, financial, healthcare and retail industries with
information security. With this breadth of industry exposure, Mr.
Boeckmann builds compliance management programs; composes policies,
standards, performs technical risk assessments, and executive security
operations consulting.
In 2005, Mr. Boeckmann had a vision of delivering valuable, trustworthy,
expertise-driven services to organizations of all types and sizes in a

Kevin Streff
Dr. Streff is an Assistant Professor at Dakota State University and
teaches in the information assurance program. Dr. Streff is the Director
of the Center for Information Assurance at Dakota State, which has been
recognized by both the National Security Agency and The Department of
Homeland Security as a national center of academic excellence in
information assurance for the financial sector. Dr. Streff has extensive
knowledge of the financial services industry, including banking,
insurance, and credit operations. Dr. Streff is founder and partner of
Secure Banking Solutions (www.protectmybank.com), a security consulting
firm focused on improving security in community banks across the
country, and partnering with banks to achieve a successful IT
examination. Dr. Streff is also President of InfraGard - South Dakota, a
partnership program between Private Industry and the U.S. government
(represented by the FBI). Dr. Streff speaks nationally on security
issues and solutions relevant to small and medium-sized banks.
Rick McGuigan (presentation)
Rick McGuigan is Executive Vice
President of Community Bankers of Wisconsin and President of CBW
Financial Services, Inc., the wholly owned for profit subsidiary of
Community Bankers of Wisconsin. McGuigan conducts over 50 workshops
annually, specializing in the areas of loss prevention, risk management,
bank operations, lending, and bank security. He is a contributing author
to a number of banking publications. McGuigan has been called as an
expert witness for bank related litigation.
He received a bachelor's degree in political science from the UW-Madison
and earned a law degree from Western State University College of Law,
Fullerton, California. McGuigan was the head of the loan department for
a community bank in California for six years and has been a banking
association staff employee for twenty one years.
As President of CBW Financial Services, Inc., McGuigan is responsible
for a full service insurance agency, a venture capital fund, a surcharge
free ATM network, and a number of strategic partnerships. McGuigan has
investigated hundreds of bank-related frauds, embezzlements, and bank
robberies. He was recently involved in the development of a special
cyber insurance policy for community banks.
Daniel Sanderson
(presentation)
Daniel Sanderson earned his BA degree from Concordia College, Moorhead,
MN, in 1977, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He majored in Spanish and
minored in math. He then went to Wartburg Seminary in Austin, Texas, and
received his Master of Divinity degree in 1980. After serving as a
pastor in Texas, he returned to being a student, attending Texas A & M
University, where he graduated in 1985 with a Masters of Computer
Science degree.
Dan’s first job in the software
industry was at Lockheed Missiles and Space, Austin, Texas, where he
designed and built software development environments that supported the
Ada programming language. In 1987, he took a job at Digital Equipment
Corporation, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and worked in the Database
Systems group developing commercial software tools. Dan also worked as a
software manager at a small startup company in Edina, Minnesota, before
going into software consulting.
Since 1995, Dan has owned and operated
Living Software, Inc., of New Richmond, Wisconsin. During this time he
has worked for a wide variety of clients, including 3M,
Fisher-Rosemount, Delta Technology, WR Medical Electronics, Thompson
Corporation, ATE Technologies, the State of Maine legislature, the State
of West Virginia legislature, the Missouri Department of Corrections,
Westfields Hospital, and BIO-key International.
In 1999, Living Software introduced a
software application for the agricultural market called DairyLive. Dan
was the main contributor in all areas, including design, development,
and marketing. Recently his company has developed a product called
SendItSecure SafeLive E-mail, which uses biometrics to secure and
encrypt e-mail communications.
Throughout his software career, Dan has played key leadership roles,
including management of technical teams, product planning, interaction
with customers and end users, marketing, and budgeting. He has excellent
planning and organizational skills, is a good public speaker, and is
fluent in Spanish.
Dan is currently pursuing an advanced
degree in Management at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls.

Angi Farren

Angi Farren, AAP has over 15 years of
experience in the banking industry, where she primarily worked with ACH
(Automated Clearing House), in operations, product development and risk
management. Most recently, Ms. Farren served as ACH Product Manager for
TCF National Bank, Minneapolis, MN. At TCF, she was instrumental in
introducing the remote deposit capture (RDC) service for the bank’s
commercial clients. At UMACHA, she is developing a new RDC training
program for the association.
Ms. Farren holds the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) designation. The
AAP is an industry certification of ACH knowledge and expertise in ACH
operations, product management and marketing strategies.
Pat Dillon (presentation)
Ms.
Pat Dillon is the Northwest Regional Director for the Wisconsin
Entrepreneurs' Network (WEN). WEN is part of the Governor’s Grow
Wisconsin Plan with funding provided by ACT 255. WEN's mission is to
create seamless access to entrepreneurial resources and expertise from
across Wisconsin to spawn new ventures and help grow existing
businesses. Through local and regional centers, this statewide network
offers business planning; access to capital and finance assistance;
provides assistance with intellectual property and technology transfer
issues; all leveraging existing private and public resources to support
the business community.
Dillon brings almost 20 years of
public-private sector knowledge and experience to the WEN. In this
position, she provides business development, technology transfer and
economic development expertise to the region. Moreover, she has more
than 15 years experience in the highly competitive federal $2.2 billion
Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology
Transfer (STTR) Programs.
Prior to joining WEN, Dillon was the
executive director and program director of Minnesota Project Innovation,
Inc. where she consulted with hundreds of companies, resulting in more
than 30 seed, early stage and emerging companies to win more than $20
million in federal research awards through SBIR and STTR Programs.
Additionally, she was a co-founder of the Minnesota Seed Capital
Network, an initiative to help Minnesota based entrepreneurs raise angel
and early stage investment capital through scheduled investor forums.
More than 40 companies presented raising more than $25 million in
investment capital.
Dillon is highly recognized nationally
and locally for her knowledge and expertise in the entrepreneurial
environment and the SBIR/STTR Programs. In 1999, she was awarded the
prestigious Small Business Administration Tibbetts Award, and in 2001,
she was recognized by City Business (Minneapolis/St. Paul Business
Journal) as one of the 25 Most Innovative Women in Minneapolis.
Dillon has served on SBIR review
panels at the National Science Foundation and the United States
Department of Agriculture, and was the Principal Investigator of an
Office of Naval Research contract for the first ever SBIR Road Tour.
Dillon serves as the Wisconsin Liaison for the Defense Alliance of
Minnesota and she is a member of the following organizations: National
Contract Management Association; the Association for the Advancement of
Science; the National Defense Industrial Association; the Naval Reserve
Association, and the Association of the United States Army.
A native of Alma, Wisconsin, Dillon
graduated from Winona State University with a MBA and BS in Business
Administration. Ms. Dillon is a Commander in the United States Navy
Reserve with more than 30 years of service.

Eby is a Territory Market Manager. He manages the Small and Medium
business for Cisco, and has been with Cisco for 8 years. The SMB
represents a 2B investment for Cisco and is the fastest growing area of
our business.
Tim Bablick
Tim
works as PC Technician at DCS Netlink. If you bring your personal
computer into DCS he will most likely be the one who fixes it. Tim is
the newest (and by far the youngest) tech to join the DCS team. He was
first introduced to the company and team through an internship while
attending WITC. He was hired on, a short time after graduation. Tim
holds an A+ hardware and software certification and is a Microsoft
Certified Professional having been certified on Windows XP. He has also
undergone some of the first training offered for Microsoft Server 2008,
which he will be presenting.
Jeff Hawkins
Mr.
Hawkins is a Regional Manager in the SecurityCoverage Sales and
Marketing department. He is responsible for the North Central region,
which includes the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota.
Mr. Hawkins previously served as Team Manager for PRC, where he managed
a sales team of 15 individuals. He consistently performed above goal at
130% as team manager and generated 80 new accounts daily. Mr. Hawkins
also spent five years with MCI, where he managed a 25-person sales team.
Mr. Hawkins has ten years of sales experience and has received numerous
awards for his sales accomplishments. In multiple positions, Mr. Hawkins
has been responsible for recruiting and training all sales personnel, in
addition to developing and coaching sales teams to maximize daily
productivity, set measurable objectives, and develop strategic plans.
Mr. Hawkins is a graduate of Kirkwood Community College’s Management
Development Program and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Accounting from Kaplan University in Cedar Rapids.
Bill Larsen (presentation)
Bill
Larsen is the Regional Sales Engineer- Watchguard Technologies. Have
been involved in the IT industry for a little over 18 years while
working in the highly regulated banking industry. During this time I
have held positions ranging from application software development,
hardware/software support, business continuity and disaster recovery
manager, systems administrator, network administrator, network engineer,
and VP Operations. In the past 5 years I have concentrated on IT risk
assessment, risk mitigation, and policy development.
