Ted Theyerl


Ted Theyerl, Regional Project Manager for NWMOC,. Ted has been a Project Manager with the NWMOC for the past 12 years. During that time he has trained hundreds of people in Lean Manufacturing techniques and worked with many small and several large companies to help them with their Lean Implementation and Continuous Improvement programs. As a Regional Project Manager, Ted has worked closely with large and small companies to develop and implement strategic planning initiatives and lean strategies. A number of awards have been presented to clients and several articles written about client successes on their work with Ted through the NWMOC. Ted has a BS in Industrial Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, is a certified Professional Business Advisor (PBA), and is NIST certified to train and facilitate in Lean Manufacturing Principles which include: Set-up reduction, Pull Kanban systems, Value Stream Mapping, Cellular/Flow Implementation, and 5S.


Presentation:
Value Stream Mapping is a Lean technique used to analyze the flow of materials and information currently required to bring a product or service to a consumer. At Toyota, where the technique originated, it is known as "Material and Information Flow Mapping". This workshop will provide an overview on the process steps, the information analyzed, the outcomes and benefits of the process.
