Presentation: The Biggest Loser: Data Leakage
Often enforcing or revising security policies and tightening technical
configurations can be a simple fix many security problems. But how do we
know where the data leakage problems are? What are some methods do
identify if data leakage is a real problem? What is the impact of not
addressing data leakage? If you have struggled with these questions or
are just beginning to identify data leakage as a real risk, then this
presentation is one you must attend.
Data leakage is the process in which sensitive information, often with
well intended controls, is released to individuals who do not
necessarily have the authority or rights to view the data. In this
presentation we will explore various methods of data leakage that often
occur and discuss effective methods to identify the problems and
proactive steps to prevent them.
